Romans 1:13 - Paul Hopes to Have a “Harvest” Among the Romans

•        In expressing hope to have a “harvest” among the Romans, Paul is using a farming metaphor to express what he hopes will happen if he is able to come to Rome

•        Just as a farmer hopes to be able to harvest a crop as a result of his efforts in farming, so Paul hopes that he will see a return on his efforts if he is able to come and minister to the Romans. He is, no doubt, hoping:

–       That many in Rome will be saved as he preaches the gospel

–       That those who are already Christians will be strengthened and encouraged by Paul’s teaching and example
