Romans 1:14 – Paul was Obligated to Preach the Gospel to All Men Without Distinction  

•        Paul tells us in Romans 1:14 that he is obligated to preach the good news about Jesus Christ to all men without distinction:

–       Civilized or Uncivilized

–       Educated or Uneducated

•        Not only was Paul obligated to preach the gospel, but in the next verse he tells us that he was eager to do so.

•        While Paul had a special responsibility as an apostle to preach the gospel, the Bible teaches that all Christians have an obligation (and should be eager!) to talk to others about the gospel:

–       Jesus commands His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you"

–       Peter tells us in  1 Peter 3:15 - “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”
