Romans 2:17-24 - Outline and Summary

The Jews bragged about their relationship with God and relied on (i.e., trusted in) the fact that He had given them (not the Gentiles) His written Law; But they did not keep His Law’s demands! Indeed their conduct was such as to cause the name of God to be blasphemed (i.e., to be spoke evil of) among the Gentiles (Romans 2:17-24)

•        The Jews served the Law with their “lips” but not with their lives (by their daily conduct).

•        Judged (or tested) by God’s Law , the Jews are shown to be justly and certainly exposed to God’s wrath as the Gentiles are.

•        It does no good to “have” or to “know” the Law, unless one keeps its demands (which requires perfect obedience).
