Romans 3:9-20 – Review With Answers

 

•        How do you reconcile the fact that in Romans 3:11 Paul tells us that “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.” - Yet there are other verses of scripture which show that there are some who do seek God and are saved?

–        The Bible teaches that while no one who, by his own ability, searches for God, there are some who, through the grace of God, do seek for Him and are saved!

 

•        How does Paul summarize (in Romans 3:9) all that he has taught in Romans 1:18-3:8?

–        Paul states that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin

 

•        What (two-fold) conclusion does Paul come to after summarizing what he has said in this way?

–        All men are sinful.

–        Therefore no one will be justified in God’s sight by observing or keeping the law
