Romans 8:1-4 – Review with Answers

 

•        In Romans 8:1, Paul declares that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. When in the Roman letter did Paul last address the removal of condemnation from those who are in Christ (give chapter and verses)?

•        What does Paul tell us delivered him from the law (power) of sin and death.

–        The law (power) of the Holy Spirit who gives life

 

•        Why is the Law powerless to help the unbelieving sinner?

–        Because he is under the power of sin

 

•        How is it that “the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us”?

–        By Jesus Christ acting on our behalf:

•        To obey the Law perfectly

•        And bear the full penalty of our sin
